Authorities say two persons were killed and another was injured in a shooting at a house in the US state of Colorado.
Around 11.52 a.m. on Thursday, police were summoned to a house for complaints of shots fired in the City of Lakewood, situated southwest of the state capital Denver, according to the Lakewood Police Department.
“When agents arrived on scene, three males were suffering apparent gunshot wounds,” the police said in a statement.
One was pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were taken to hospital with one dead from injuries and the other expected to live.
“While the nature of a connection between the three males shot is still unknown, it is apparent that they were familiar with each other in some manner,” said the statement.
Investigators think a fourth person was involved in the shooting and fled the site before police arrived.
According to the authorities, the fourth party looks to have also been shot.
There is no current threat to the community, according to police.
An investigation is now underway.
