A group of youngsters were playing cricket at the foot of a dune in Shangla district when it was buried by a landslip on Thursday, according to a statement from the state-run Rescue 1122.

Rescue 1122, local volunteers, and Pakistan Army rescue teams rescued eight dead and a wounded kid from the rubble after an hours-long operation till late Thursday night, according to Xinhua news agency.
