A goods train with five cars derailed near Ayer, Massachusetts, in the United States.
According to the Ayer Fire Department, emergency responders responded to a report of a train derailment shortly before noon on Thursday.
Five derailed cars were discovered. According to the Xinhua news agency, the train was not transporting any dangerous materials.
Employees from CSX, a freight railway operator based in North America, “verified that the cars are sealed and transporting trash/recycling material” on the site.
According to the Ayer Fire Department, containment booms were deployed to the river near the incident as a precaution.
