According to a new poll, 38% of the American people approves of how US President Joseph Biden is performing his job.
In surveys conducted by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research on Thursday, Biden’s approval rating was reaching the lowest point of his administration.
Opinions of how Biden is handling the national economy are more negative. Only 31 per cent approve of his handling of the nation’s economy compared to 68 per cent who disapprove, Xinhua news agency said.
Biden’s overall approval and approval on the economy continue to be highly polarised.
Seventy-six percent of Democrats approve of how he is managing his job as President of the United States, and 63% approve of how he is handling the economy.
Republicans continue to criticise his job performance and economic management.
Opinions of the country’s future are more negative than they were a month ago.
Overall, 21% of the public believes the United States is on the right track, compared to 28% who said the same last month.
In February 2023, both Democrats and Republicans are less likely to feel the country is on the right track.
The survey of 1,081 persons was performed from March 16 to March 20. For all respondents, the margin of sampling error is 4.0 percentage points.
