WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is apparently developing a new text editor for its sketching tool for iOS beta.
According to WABetaInfo, the new text editor will allow users to effortlessly switch between multiple fonts by simply tapping one of the font options displayed above the keyboard.
Although changing the text font is already possible, the new interface will make it easier for users to rapidly select the typeface they desire.
Moreover, users will be able to modify text orientation to the left, centre, or right, giving them more freedom over formatting text within pictures, videos, and GIFs.
Users will be able to modify the colour of the text backdrop with the new text editor.
When the updated text editor is delivered to beta testers, new typefaces will be available.
According to the source, the new text editor is presently in development and will be delivered in a future version of the application.
It was revealed in January of this year that the messaging platform was working on a new text editor for Android beta.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp was said to be working on a new feature for iOS beta on Tuesday that will allow users to select an expiration date for groups.
